Al-Shorbagy: National Institutions "vertebral column" For the press industry in Egypt and the Arab world

 The National Press Authority, headed by Engineer Abdel Sadiq Al-Shorbaji, will organize a celebration tomorrow, Monday, to distribute the “Journalism Excellence” Award, with the participation of members of the Authority, leaders of national press institutions, and winners in the various branches of the award.. The first edition of the “Journalism Excellence” Award carries The name of the great writer, Sanaa Al-Baisi, in appreciation and recognition of a generation of journalists who gave a lot in the service of the profession, and it is a laudable tradition aimed at honoring the symbols of the profession in their lives.

The head of the National Press Authority, Eng. Abdel-Sadreq Al-Shorbaji, said, “The national press is Egypt’s true soft power, and the most powerful tool in shaping public opinion, as Egypt’s national newspapers have the highest levels of credibility according to what scientific studies have proven, and we are not surprised if we say that they hold more than 80%.” From the press market in Egypt.”

He added, “National press institutions are the “backbone.” For the press industry, not only in Egypt, but in the Arab world, through the professional cadres of these institutions, all journalistic experiences were established in Egypt and the Arab countries, and through the printing assets and distribution capabilities that these institutions possess, all private and partisan newspapers in Egypt made their way to the market.

He continued, “From here, the National Press Authority recognizes the importance and value of national institutions as a basic pillar for creating true awareness, and the Authority is racing against time to develop these institutions professionally, and solve their administrative and financial problems that have accumulated over more than 4 years. “Decades”.

Al-Shorbaji indicated that the aim of the award is to stimulate journalistic energies and bring about the required shift in the press, administration and workers, pointing out that the national press is rich in talents and capabilities capable of catching up with the desired electronic shift.

Al-Shorbaji announced that the authority decided to launch the "second edition" From the award for journalistic works published in newspapers, magazines and electronic portals, starting from the first of January until the end of next June, as the General Secretariat of the Authority accepts journalistic works published in print and electronically in the award’s 12 branches no later than the end of next July.
