Cairo Governorate donates 50 million pounds to contribute to the establishment of the new medical complex

During the official ceremony to inspect the concrete structure work of the Capital University Medical Complex (formerly Helwan), Dr. Ibrahim Saber, Governor of Cairo, announced the Cairo Governorate’s donation of 50 million pounds, to be disbursed in stages, in support of the establishment of the new university hospital, calling on civil society institutions to contribute to this vital project that will serve more than 8 million citizens in southern Cairo and neighboring areas.
The ceremony witnessed the presence of Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Dr. El-Sayed Qandil, President of the University. The capital, where it was announced that the implementation of the first phase of the project to establish and equip the University Hospital (Medical Complex) had begun. The Governor of Cairo confirmed that the governorate will provide full logistical support for the project, including facilitating licensing procedures and providing the necessary services, to ensure the implementation of the stages according to the specified timetables.
