Conflicting statements regarding the transfer of “Al-Nashama” striker Yazan Al-Naimat to Al-Ahly of Egypt

After the remarkable brilliance of Jordanian national football team player Yazan Al-Naimat during the 2025 Arab Cup currently being held in Doha, statements were made regarding the desire of the Egyptian Al-Ahly club to include the player in its ranks during the winter transfer period that opens next January.
Egyptian media reported, from what it described as those close to the player, that personal terms had been agreed upon, and all that remained was the Al-Ahly Club’s agreement with the Qatari Al-Arabi Club, which the player represents, to settle the deal.
Meanwhile, Arab media reported that the official spokesman for the Qatari Al-Arabi Club, Mohammed Al-Kuwari, denied that there were any negotiations by Al-Ahly Club to include the player during the current period.
Al-Kuwari said in television statements: “It is not true that Al-Ahly club negotiated with us to include the player Yazan Al-Naimat in the current period.”

He added: “Al-Ahly did not contact us officially or verbally to contract with Yazan Al-Naimat, and the player continues naturally in the ranks of Al-Arabi Qatar.”
According to Egyptian media, the Al-Ahly Club’s football management and technical staff decided to follow Yazan Al-Naimat, the Qatari Al-Arabi striker and the Jordanian national team, during his participation in his country’s match against the second-placed Egyptian team in the Arab Cup Championship in the third round of the group stage of the Arab Cup Championship, in preparation for contracting with the Al-Arabi Qatari striker next January, if the player gains the confidence of Red Castle officials.
Al-Ahly club officials are awaiting the approval of the Danish coach, Jes Torop, to sign a contract with the Jordanian national team striker, in order to strengthen the spearhead position in the ranks of the Red Giants, before entering into negotiations with Najm Al-Nashama to contract with him next January.
Yazan Al-Naimat excelled with the Jordanian national team during the participation in the Arab Cup, and he will play the next match with Al-Nashama against the Egyptian national team in the third round of the Arab Cup.
Al-Ahly club officials are considering settling the deal for Yazan Al-Naimat through the release clause in his contract with Al-Arabi Qatari Club, which amounts to one and a half million dollars, by paying the value of the penalty clause in the Qatar Football Association and obtaining the player’s services.
It is noteworthy that Al-Naimat was linked to a move to Al-Ahly of Egypt last year after his brilliance in the Asian Cup, in which his country ranked second, but the negotiations at that time were not completed.
