“Al-Nasr” and “Abu Dhabi” share the overall excellence shield for men’s athletics

Al-Nasr Club and Abu Dhabi Athletics Club shared the victory in the General Excellence Shield for the men’s category for the 2024-2025 sports season, while the Sharjah Women’s Sports Club was crowned with the General Excellence Shield for the women’s category.

The winners were crowned during the annual ceremony of the Athletics Federation, which was held under the patronage and in the presence of Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chief of Police and Public Security in Dubai and Honorary President of the Federation, with the participation of sports leaders, members of the Board of Directors, and representatives of government agencies, sponsors, and the media.

The ceremony witnessed a review of the most prominent milestones of the season, as the UAE champions succeeded in achieving remarkable results at the regional and international levels, confirming the upward path that UAE athletics is on.

The Federation also allocated a section to honor rising talents who have demonstrated their presence in local and foreign competitions. The ceremony also included honoring sponsors and partners in appreciation for their efforts in supporting the Federation’s activities, in addition to a special honor for Team Dhahi Khalfan in appreciation of his continuous giving and support.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, Dr. Muhammad Abdullah Al-Murr, President of the Federation, praised the remarkable development in the players’ levels during the season, appreciating the great support from the wise leadership, and the continuous care provided by the team, Dhahi Khalfan, which had a clear impact in achieving the recent successes.
