Khaled Abdulaziz holds a series of meetings to enhance media cooperation on the sidelines of his participation in the Bridge Summit

Engineer Khaled Abdulaziz, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Media Regulation, participated in the Bridge 2025 Summit, which was held in Abu Dhabi during the period from 8 to 10 December this year, as part of the Council’s efforts to enhance regional and international cooperation in the fields of media and digital content governance.
The visit witnessed a series of important meetings that dealt with protecting intellectual property, controlling media content, confronting misleading news, and mechanisms for dealing with the rapid development in technologies. Digital.
On the sidelines of the summit, Engineer Khaled Abdulaziz held a meeting with Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, Chairman of the National Media Office and Chairman of the Emirates Media Council, where they discussed strengthening cooperation and coordinating efforts to confront media challenges, especially those related to the technological revolution and applications of artificial intelligence.
Abdulaziz also met with Dr. Paul Morcos, Lebanese Minister of Information, during which Egypt’s support for Lebanon and the strengthening of media and cultural cooperation between the two countries were emphasized. The Lebanese Minister praised the Egyptian role in supporting the stability of Arab media.
The President of the Council participated in a high-level closed diplomatic session sponsored by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), under the title “Alliances for Legitimacy and Integrity in Global Narratives,” which brought together An elite group of leaders, decision-makers and international experts to discuss the future of information integrity in a world being reshaped by the pace of artificial intelligence and the acceleration of digital technology.
Stressing the importance of building a more coordinated international system that obligates platforms to be transparent and maintains a balance between freedom of expression and national security requirements, pointing out that rebuilding this trust requires a new partnership between the state, media and technology, based on clarity, speed in correction, and responsibility in the circulation of information.
Abdulaziz also held a meeting with officials. The Emirates Media Council praised the Emirati experience and the importance of empowering young media competencies, especially in managing the content of digital platforms.
The Chairman of the Supreme Council for Media Regulation also held a meeting with the regional leadership of Meta Company, which owns “Facebook” Instagram – WhatsApp”, and the meeting discussed the intellectual property file and ways to maximize the benefit from Egyptian heritage content, while discussing mechanisms to ensure the protection of financial rights for this content, stressing that the company’s current policy reduces the centrality of political content on the platforms, while moving towards strengthening cultural and development partnerships, and expressing a clear desire to support the efforts of the Egyptian state in governing the digital field and protecting intellectual property.
The Chairman of the Council also met with Google officials, where the meeting discussed the digital content file and intellectual property rights, and cooperation mechanisms between the Council and Google in content management. And its spread in accordance with national rights and legal frameworks.
Engineer Khaled Abdel Aziz met with officials of the Yango Play platform, where the platform delegation expressed their happiness to be present in the Egyptian market, thanking the council for its support and efforts in confronting piracy attempts targeting the platform’s exclusive display rights.
