"Human resources and Emiratisation" Launches a program to qualify nannies in auxiliary labor recruitment offices

Dubai, December 12 / WAM / The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation launched the training program “Preparing Trainers” in the field of qualifying nannies in auxiliary labor recruitment offices, under the supervision and provision of certified trainers and specialists from the Child Safety Foundation in Sharjah.

The program, which was implemented as a first phase in Dubai, aims to train about 300 trainers from all 135 licensed domestic labor recruitment offices in the country.

The launch of the program comes within the framework of the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to organize the work of domestic labor recruitment offices in the country, build the capabilities of trainers in these offices, enhance their skills, and provide them with knowledge and the latest standards for child protection, which qualifies them to train nannies in domestic labor recruitment offices on the most important topics and practices related to child care and safety, in a way that is commensurate with the requirements of their daily tasks, and contributes to developing their competencies and introducing them to the leading legal frameworks in this field, in support of the state’s efforts to enhance child protection and well-being.

The program reflects the amount of interest in aspects related to child protection in the country, and the level of integration between all governmental and local agencies, to support the provision of pioneering services for children, and to enhance the standards of protection and safety of children in all fields, and in all their places of residence, in order to achieve the comprehensiveness of the model of protection and care for children, and is consistent with the established and firm government directions in the areas of child protection and safety.

The cooperation between the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation and the Child Safety Foundation in this program is considered an extension of the partnership between them, which resulted in the issuance of the “Domestic Workers Guide”, and the implementation of a series of training programs in the offices for recruiting domestic workers at the state level, to enhance the safety aspects of children in vehicles, at home and in public places, in addition to digital safety and training in skills to protect children from abuse and reporting via the child helpline 800700, in addition to highlighting the laws and penalties contained in the “Wadeema” Child Rights Law.
