By acclamation.. Mohammed bin Sulayem, President of the International Automobile Federation

Emirati Mohammed bin Sulayem was re-elected by acclamation today in Tashkent as President of the International Automobile Federation (FIA) for a second term, as he is the only candidate for the position.
Ibn Sulayem was elected in 2021 as president of the FIA, succeeding Frenchman Jean Todt, after the former Middle East Rally Champion won 61.62 percent of the voters’ votes, making the 14-time winner of the Middle East Rally Championship title the first non-European person to hold this position.
The International Automobile Federation is responsible for organizing automobile competitions, the most important of which are the Formula One World Championship, the World Rally Championship, and the World Endurance Championship, and enhancing traffic safety on the roads.
The FIA includes more than 240 clubs in 146 countries, representing about 80 million members.
