A citizen child reports a vehicle fire accident…and the Civil Defense honors him

The Director General of the Sharjah Civil Defense Authority, Brigadier Yousef Obaid Harmoul Al Shamsi, honored the child Saud Ahmed Al Jarwan (10 years old), in appreciation of his conscious behavior and social responsibility, after he called the Civil Defense number (997) to report a fire that had broken out in one of the vehicles. The details of the incident are due to the operations room of the Sharjah Civil Defense Authority receiving a report from the child Saud, in which he reported that there was a fire in a vehicle. He showed remarkable calm during the call, and a clear ability to convey basic information accurately. The child was distinguished by his good behavior and guiding the operations officer to the correct location of the accident without hesitation or confusion. This behavior contributed to accelerating the arrival of the specialized teams to the location of the report, and also enabled the fire brigades to carry out their tasks quickly and take the necessary measures in a timely manner to control the accident.
Brigadier General Yousef Obaid Harmoul Al Shamsi praised the child’s awareness and responsible behavior, stressing that the speed of reporting and the accuracy of the information provided constitute an essential element in the success of emergency response operations, and pointed out that community cooperation is an important pillar of the public safety system.
