Renewed chances of light to moderate rain “Tuesday and Wednesday”

The National Center of Meteorology expected renewed chances of light to moderate rain on Tuesday and Wednesday, concentrated on the islands and some northern regions, while clouds and rain chances on Wednesday will be concentrated on the sea and the far north of the country, at intervals.

From late night on Saturday until early morning on Sunday, the country witnessed rainfall of varying intensity. It began on the waters of the Arabian Gulf and the islands, then extended to the coastal areas to include Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain and Ras Al Khaimah. Then the rains extended during the day to the northern and eastern interior regions, and the highest amount of rain was recorded in Saqr Port at 12.5 mm.

Through satellite images and weather radar data, it was observed that cloud amounts decreased over the country on Monday: with their concentration on the sea, islands, and some northern and eastern regions, which led to a decline in the chances of rain falling.

The National Center of Meteorology expects the main wave of rain to pass on Thursday and Friday, with impacts starting from the western regions, and gradually moving to affect the city of Abu Dhabi during the late night of Thursday and dawn on Friday, then extending during the day on Friday to include the northern regions, Al Ain City, and the eastern regions, and the amount of clouds will decrease during the evening and night. On Saturday, the amount of clouds over the country decreases significantly, and the chances of rain fall weaken, with the possibility of some low and medium clouds appearing over the far north of the country, which may be accompanied by limited rainfall.

As a result of the atmospheric instability during this period, some local clouds are likely to form, especially during the day.

Winds: south-easterly to north-easterly, turning to north-westerly, moderate to brisk, and sometimes strong, especially with cumulonimbus clouds. They raise dust and dust, leading to low horizontal visibility. Sea: light to medium waves, sometimes turbulent, especially with clouds in the Arabian Gulf and in the Sea of ​​Oman.
