Launching of the conference to lay the foundation for the first integrated Egyptian factory for the manufacture of vaccines

The activities of the press conference to lay the foundation for the first integrated Egyptian factory for the manufacture of vaccines were launched a short while ago, in a prominent national event that reflects the state’s approach towards localizing vital industries and enhancing health security, in the presence of a high-level presence of government leaders and national and international health institutions.

 

The conference witnessed the presence of Dr. Hassan Al-Khatib, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, Dr. Amr Kandil, Deputy Minister of Health, and Dr. Nima Abed, representative of the World Health Organization in Egypt, along with a number of heads of bodies. National and international institutions, and senior officials concerned with the health and investment sectors.

 

The conference activities began with the playing of the national anthem of the Arab Republic of Egypt, in an official atmosphere that reflected the importance of the event and its strategic implications at the health and economic levels.

 

Laying the foundation stone for this factory comes within the framework of the state’s plan to localize the vaccine industry locally, reduce dependence on imports, and support Egypt’s ability to meet its needs for basic vaccines. And specialized, according to the highest approved international quality standards.

 

The project represents a pivotal step towards strengthening partnerships with international organizations, especially the World Health Organization, which contributes to the transfer of technology, raising the efficiency of the health system, and opening new horizons for manufacturing and exporting regionally and internationally.

The factory is expected to contribute to supporting national vaccination programs, achieving self-sufficiency, and consolidating Egypt’s position as a regional center for the vaccine industry in the Middle East. And Africa.
