Schubert reveals the secrets of Egyptian football and highlights the experiences of Morocco and Jordan as a model of success

Schubert praised the level of the Jordanian team in the Arab Cup tournament, stressing that the team did not lose any point throughout its journey, which reflects the remarkable development of Jordanian football and the consistency of performance on the technical and tactical levels. Schubert added that the Moroccan and Jordanian experiences provide important lessons for Egyptian football, which has the financial capabilities and modern infrastructure, most notably the Sports City in the New Administrative Capital, but the difference lies in thought, management method and planning.

A shocking financial crisis with Rui Vitoria 

 

Schubert made a surprise about the behind-the-scenes departure of Portuguese coach Rui Vitoria from training the Egyptian national team, explaining that the Football Association was forced to pay an additional half a million dollars above the value of the release clause after Vitoria refused to be satisfied with the basic amount. Schubert confirmed that the federation had reached an initial settlement before withdrawing from it, and then this estimate turned out to be wrong after reviewing the legal position, which prompted the federation to pay the penalty clause, but Vitoria demanded the full value of his contract, so the federation was faced with two difficult options: either an additional financial settlement or paying the full value of the contract, which amounts to about 4.5 million dollars. Schubert explained that the crisis reflects the weak management of the contracting file, calling for the assistance of experts to draft contracts to protect public money and prevent the recurrence of such situations.

 Defending tolerance and accepting Mustafa Younes’ apology

Schubert defended Al-Ahly Club’s decision to accept Captain Mustafa Younes’ apology and drop the complaints against him, pointing out that the attack on the administration reflects the dissatisfaction of some with any decision taken. 

He stressed that tolerance is a human and moral value guaranteed by divine religions, and that maintaining fraternal relations and respecting the history of symbols is essential. When evaluating such situations, he pointed to the depth of the ties that unite Al-Ahly’s great stars, such as Mustafa Younes and Mahmoud Al-Khatib.

Al-Ahly seeks to strengthen the team with new deals

 

Schubert revealed Al-Ahly’s policy in contracting with foreign players, stressing that the club annually follows the method of contracting with new players and then studying releasing some of them to strengthen the team with other deals. He explained that the contract with Achraf Dari impressed the fans because of his level in the French League, and that Gradishar performed well, but the arrival of Wissam Abu Ali led to his transfer to the reserve role, and with Wissam’s departure, his performance witnessed some decline.

Schubert added that Al-Ahly is close to contracting with the Moroccan player Youssef Belamri, and is also looking to loan both Achraf Dari and Gradishar, and the club has also reached an agreement with a distinguished foreign striker whose identity has not been revealed. Yet, which reflects the management’s keenness to strengthen the team without stopping.

Calming the situation around the Zamalek land crisis

Schubert called on Egyptian football fans to calm down and rely on official statements about the crisis of withdrawing the land allocated to Zamalek Club in October Gardens.

He stressed that the statement of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Public Prosecution clarifies the official picture away from rumors and false information, stressing the need to be patient and understand the facts before issuing judgments.

Mohamed Salah’s future with Liverpool

 

Schubert concluded the episode by talking about the future of Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, denying rumors about his travel to Jeddah, and confirming that the player is in Egypt before heading to Morocco to participate in the African Championship. Schubert confirmed that Salah is happy with his career with Liverpool and is keen to finish his European career within the ranks of the English team, praising the achievements he has achieved that have made Egyptians proud of him at the continental and international levels, stressing that Salah is the only Arab player capable of achieving this level of achievements in the English Premier League.
