The Drug Authority is discussing with a Chinese company ways to cooperate in biotechnology
Dr. Ali Al-Ghamrawi, Chairman of the Egyptian Medicines Authority, held an expanded meeting with Chen Xiaoqing, CEO of a Chinese company, one of the Chinese biotechnology companies. The meeting comes within the framework of the Authority’s efforts to enhance investment and develop the pharmaceutical and medical industries in Egypt, and discuss opportunities for joint cooperation in line with the state’s strategy to support the health sector and enhance national capabilities.
The meeting discussed the establishment of a factory to produce some biological preparations, within one of the free industrial zones in Egypt, with the aim of supporting local production and export to regional and international markets, in addition to discussing areas of investment.
