The Saudi Football Association denies dismissing Renard from coaching the national team

The Media and Corporate Communications Department of the Saudi Football Federation denied reports that Frenchman Hervé Renard had been relieved of his position as coach of the first national team.
In a comment to the Saudi newspaper Al-Riyadh, which published the news of the exemption, she explained that the news is not true.
The French coach, who led the Saudi national team to qualify for the World Cup finals twice, will lead Saudi Arabia’s final match in the Arab Cup tomorrow against our national team, which will determine the third and fourth places.
Renard received violent criticism following the Saudi team’s defeat by its Jordanian counterpart with a clean goal in the semi-finals of the Arab Cup.
Renard had previously warned of the impact of the large number of foreign players in the Saudi League on the national team level, in light of the lack of participation of key players with their clubs.
