Morocco is closest to hosting the 2029 Club World Cup

Press reports stated that Morocco has become a candidate to host the Club World Cup with its new system in 2029.
The RMC network explained that Morocco may obtain the right to host the tournament, which will be held just one year before the 2030 FIFA World Cup, which it co-organizes with Spain and Portugal.
She continued: “Morocco’s successful organization so far in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, and the stadiums that are characterized by good ground and a wonderful atmosphere, may contribute to granting it the organization of the second edition of the Club World Cup.”
Most of the coaches present in the tournament held in Morocco expressed great admiration for the organization, especially in terms of hotels, which is a decisive factor for FIFA, which formed a good impression through that tournament, especially with its decision makers.
The first edition of the Club World Cup was held in the United States of America in July 2025, a year before the 2026 World Cup. The success of the tournament attracted many candidates to host the next edition, and Morocco’s organization of the tournament will give FIFA an opportunity to identify the capabilities of one of the countries hosting the 2030 World Cup.
