Knight Mohammed Mugheer wins the Special Stables Cup at the Mohammed bin Rashid Endurance Festival

Today, jockey Mohammed Rashid Mughair, from Al Mughair Stables, was crowned champion of the Special Stables Cup for a distance of 120 kilometers, as part of the activities of the second day of the His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Endurance Festival, which is hosted by the Dubai International Endurance City in Saih Al Salam, with the participation of an elite group of world riders.
Mugheer succeeded in topping the overall standings of the race, in which 235 riders participated, on the horse “Zeus FF”, covering the race distance with a time of 4:30:38 hours, ahead by 6 seconds of the rider Muhammad Salem Haif, from Al-Fawares Stables, who came in second on the horse “First du Pay” with a time of 4:30:44 hours, and the Lebanese horsewoman Aya Ali, from Horse Stables, on horseback “At Dial Range Sharjah”, recording a time of 4:31:11 hours.
The Stables Cup race was held for the “pricing” system, in an initiative considered the first of its kind in the world.
After the conclusion of the competitions, the Director General of the Dubai Equestrian Club, Ahmed Al Kaabi, crowned the winners of the first three place cups, where the first place holder received a financial prize of 200 thousand dirhams, the second place holder received 180 thousand dirhams, and the third place 160 thousand dirhams, while the fourth and fifth place holders received 50 thousand and 35 thousand dirhams, respectively, in addition to financial prizes for the holders of positions from sixth to ninety worth 20 thousand. AED per center.
The festival will continue its competitions tomorrow with the holding of the Jamilati Cup race for mares, for a distance of 120 kilometers, sponsored by Al Tayer Motors, and the festival will conclude with the main race, the His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Endurance Cup, for a distance of 160 kilometers, sponsored by Emirates Airlines, on Saturday, January 10th.
