Olympic White Guard: My mother has always been my support

Our Olympic team goalkeeper, Khaled Tawhid, dedicated the victory over the Qatar national team in the AFC U-23 Football Championship, currently being held in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to his mother.
“I would like to dedicate this victory to my mother, who has always been my support and has never disappointed me,” Tawhid said in statements to the AFC website today.
He added: “Praise be to God for the victory. I congratulate the UAE national team on this victory, as well as the technical staff and my fellow players. We did not fall short and may God grant us success.”
Tawhid had saved a penalty kick awarded to the Qatari team less than a minute after the start of the match.
The second round of group competitions is scheduled to be held on Saturday, where our Olympic team will meet Japan, and Syria will meet Qatar.
