United defeats Al-Ettifaq and tops the First Division

The United team achieved a valuable victory over its host Al-Ettifaq, 3-2, in the match that was held in the 14th round of the First Division League competitions at Shabab Al-Ahli Club Stadium in Al-Awir area in Dubai.

With this victory, United’s balance rose to 24 points at the top of the standings, ahead of Dibba Al-Hisn, which is in second place with 22 points, and Al-Fujairah in third place with 21 points, while Al-Ittifaq’s balance froze at 6 points in last place.

United’s goals were scored by Portuguese Samuel Luis (a hat-trick) in the 5th, 8th and 47th minutes, while Lebanese Alaa Mezher (27) and Saif Al-Rumaithi (83) scored for Al-Ittifaq.

United’s lead, led by Italian coach Andrea Pirlo, is an important technical motivation for the team, in preparation for its next match against Al-Wahda in the quarter-finals of the President’s Cup scheduled for next February.
