Passionate about fighting for everything

Real Madrid’s new coach, Alvaro Arbeloa, pledged on Tuesday to fight for everything, after taking over the position from Xabi Alonso, and said that he would remain in his position with the competing team in the Spanish Football League as long as there was a need for him.

Arbeloa said in a press conference: “I am of course aware of the responsibility and task entrusted to me, and I am very excited.” He added: “I found a group of very enthusiastic players. They share my enthusiasm to fight for everything and win.” “I have lived in this house for 20 years, and I will stay as long as they want me to,” he said.

He added, “The most important thing is for the players to be happy, enjoy their time on the field, and respect the logo. Wearing this logo is the best thing that can happen to you in life.”

Arbeloa’s immediate goal is to close the gap with Barcelona in La Liga, while ensuring progress in the Champions League and Copa del Rey.

Real Madrid announced yesterday, Monday, that Alonso had separated from the club by mutual consent, after a series of poor results and reports of problems with some of its senior players.

Who is Alvaro Arbeloa, the new Real Madrid coach?

Arbeloa (42 years old) was promoted from the second team in Real Madrid (Castilla) to lead a team that is four points behind Barcelona in the league and suffered a 3-2 defeat in the Spanish Super Cup final on Sunday.

Arbeloa, who has been within the training structure of the club’s academy since 2020, faces a very difficult test with only one training session before the round of 16 match of the King’s Cup against Albacete, the competitor in the second division, tomorrow, Wednesday.

The former right-back, who played 238 games with Real Madrid between 2009 and 2016 and won eight titles, including two Champions League titles, was quiet about how long he would spend as coach.
