Al-Bataeh stuns Sharjah with a double and leaves the bottom of the league

Al-Bataeh achieved a valuable victory over its host, Sharjah, with two unanswered goals during the match that brought them together today, Wednesday, at Sharjah Stadium, in the postponed match between them from the 10th round of the ADNOC Professional Football League. Al-Bataeh beat it strongly in this match, advancing from last place to 13th and raising its score to nine points, while Sharjah’s score froze at 11 points in eleventh place.

This well-deserved victory put Al Battaih on the right track after suffering a lot in previous matches, while the loss represented a painful blow to Sharjah, which started in a difficult situation under the leadership of Portuguese coach Jose Moraes.

The first half ended in a draw without goals, and Sharjah, the host and the fans, suffered a lot in this match and failed to reach the net after Al Bataeh closed all the openings in front of them, even though they played full rows. While Al Bataeh succeeded in scoring the first goal through Cameroonian Anatoly Bertrand in the 46th minute “from a strong shot outside the penalty area, taking advantage of a fatal error by the Sharjah defense, and Mohamed Jumaa Eid added the second goal for Al Bataeh in the 61st minute.”
