Dubai Creek Tower tender within 3 months

The founder of “Emaar” and “Noon” and Chairman of the Board of Directors of “Eagle Hills”, Mohammed Ali Al Abbar, revealed that “Emaar” will launch a tender for the construction of the Dubai Creek Tower within the next three months, noting that the new tower has witnessed changes in the design.
He said during an interview on the sidelines of the activities of the 11th session of the Dubai International Project Management Forum 2026, yesterday, that the focus at the current stage is on the aesthetic view of the project, adding: “We have built Burj Khalifa and are continuing to develop it, the most recent of which was updating its lighting system. We must build something truly special, and a tender for the Dubai Creek Tower will be issued within three months. We have modified the design.”
He described the new design of the tower as “beautiful,” noting that after the construction of Burj Khalifa, height alone was no longer sufficient, adding that “the company is focusing on the aesthetics of the building and its surroundings, and the current stage of development is mainly focused on the aesthetic appeal of the project.”
Businessman Mohammed Al Abbar responded to a question about the existence of a theory linking the cessation of the Dubai Creek Tower project to waiting for any country to announce the construction of the tallest tower in the world, stressing that this is not true, explaining that the company owns a lot of land in Dubai and vast capabilities that enable it to build new towers at any time, even after years, without this posing any challenge.
He pointed out that the focus is not based on racing numbers or heights. Al-Abbar stressed that architectural beauty and the intelligent use of buildings remain the foundation, recalling the experience of Burj Khalifa, which he described as “love and first passion,” stressing that aesthetic value is what guides new projects.
Al-Abbar stressed that quality, design, and sustainability in real estate projects represent a fundamental commitment to humans and society, and are not just additional elements or entertainment.
Al-Abbar explained that housing is the most expensive and most important thing a person owns in his life, and therefore it must be implemented according to the highest standards, stressing that the real estate developer does not provide an ordinary product, but rather directly affects the lives and stability of families.
He pointed out that the real estate developer also represents the image and reputation of his city and country, pointing out that making a profit remains a legitimate goal, but it must be balanced with respect for the community in which the projects are implemented.
Al-Abbar stressed the importance of continuing to improve services and working with owners after handing over properties, especially with regard to maintenance work and maintaining the quality of buildings in the long term.
He added that Dubai’s projects have achieved great successes that have made them the focus of the world’s attention, considering that Dubai’s problem is that it is successful to the extent that everything in it looks beautiful.
He stated that his greatest strength as an Emirati businessman has always been his ability to build strong work teams, adding: “I have always sought to build the best qualified work team and work with him,” noting that he is keen to get things done quickly, as this is part of his nature.
Al-Abbar praised the efforts made by the Roads and Transport Authority, stressing that the successes achieved by the emirate would not have been achieved without the great work accomplished under continuous pressure.
He said that the growth witnessed by Dubai exceeds expectations, describing it as “unnatural,” noting that the traffic congestion that people notice is a direct result of this rapid growth.
He explained that the Roads and Transport Authority is working day and night to open bridges and develop infrastructure to keep pace with urban and population expansion, stressing that these ongoing efforts represent an essential pillar in supporting development.
He stated that artificial intelligence is reshaping the work environment, and the abundance of employment is an old culture, explaining that artificial intelligence is now playing a major role in the business world today, warning that its impact is greater and more dangerous than many expect.
He said that many institutions around the world are suffering from an inflation in the number of employees, noting that most institutions in the world have more than 50% more employees than their actual need, describing this as the result of an “old culture” that relies on a large number of employees instead of efficiency.
Al-Abbar explained that he does not favor expanding employment, stressing that the focus should be on productivity and quality of work, not on the number of workers.
In this context, Al-Abbar revealed practical steps taken by his company to enhance efficiency, as meetings were completely banned during the month of September, including “Teams” and “Zoom” meetings.
He pointed out that work does not always require meetings, stressing that reducing meetings speeds up achievement and raises the quality of performance.
