What did Guardiola say after Manchester City’s “unexpected” loss to Norwegian Glimt?

Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola confirmed that everything is going wrong for his team after City’s resounding defeat against Norwegian Bodo Glimt in the Champions League on Tuesday.

City suffered a harsh and unexpected defeat with a score of 1-3 in a match that also witnessed the expulsion of its star midfielder, Rodri, for receiving two yellow cards.

This defeat came three days after City lost by two unanswered goals to its traditional rival, Manchester United, in the English Premier League.

Man City has only achieved two wins in its last 7 matches in all competitions, one of which was against Exeter, which plays in the third division, in the FA Cup.

Guardiola said after the loss to Bodo Glimt: “It was a great opportunity for us today (yesterday, Tuesday), but things are going against us in everything, and we are facing difficulties in many details. This is a fact, and we must try to change it. The players are there, and we did our best.”

He added: “I have no doubt that in this tournament, nothing is guaranteed, that’s for sure. Manchester United was better than us (on Saturday), and today, it was the momentum that punished us.”

Guardiola expressed his dissatisfaction with the large number of injuries among his team’s ranks, saying: “We reached some positions without important players. We suffer from some fragility.”

Manchester City is suffering from injuries this season, especially in the defense line, where Ruben Diaz, John Stones, and Yoshko Gvardiol are all absent, in addition to the absence of right defender Matthews Nunez due to illness.

With this loss, Manchester City’s score temporarily stopped at 13 points in seventh place in the standings of the Champions League stage, while Bodo Glimt raised his score to six points in 26th place.
