Trump threatens Canada with 100% tariffs if it signs a trade agreement with China

US President Donald Trump on Saturday warned Canada that if it concludes a trade agreement with China, he will impose a 100% tariff on all goods coming across the border.

Trump wrote on his social platform, Truth Social, “If Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney believes that he will make Canada an outlet for the export of Chinese goods and products to the United States, he is completely mistaken.”

He added, “If Canada concludes an agreement with China, a 100% tariff will be immediately imposed on all Canadian goods and products imported into the United States.”
