Global Innovation Institute accredits "Innovation Lab" Fujairah Martial Arts Club

Fujairah, 26 January / WAM / The Global Institute for Innovation in the US state of Michigan officially approved the “Innovation Laboratory” of the Fujairah Martial Arts Club in appreciation of its sustainable efforts in the field of innovation, in a step that reflects the club’s commitment to strengthening the institutional innovation system and consolidating the culture of research and development and applied knowledge in the sports sector.

During the current year, the “Innovation Lab” succeeded in registering five intellectual properties, which are among its first outputs, topped by the acquisition by His Excellency Nader Abu Shawish, Director of the Club, of an intellectual property entitled “Guide to the Institutional Sports Excellence Model,” which aims to support the development of methodologies for excellence, governance, and measurement in sports institutions.

The approved intellectual property also included a second property by therapist Sabri Qafsawi, entitled “Guide to Human Performance Sciences and Sports Medicine,” and a third property by Dr. Moh Al-Mouh, the club’s judo coach, entitled “Individual Training System Guide,” in addition to the approval of an intellectual property in the name of Islam Al-Qazzaz, coach of the judo team, for “Guide to the Integrated Foundation System for the Judo Player,” and an intellectual property by Ahmed Al-Ghazali, coach of the karate team, entitled “Guide to the Equation of Successful Communication between the Coach and the Karate Player.”

Amal Al Kindi, Deputy Director of the Club, confirmed that the adoption of these intellectual properties for club members comes in line with the UAE’s trends in supporting innovation and enabling institutions to develop their tools and methodologies in accordance with best international practices and standards, which contributes to improving the quality of sports services, improving work environments, and providing qualitative outputs with a sustainable impact.

She pointed out that these properties represent a foundational stage for an institutional knowledge production process that aims to document technical expertise, develop specialized guides, and transform practical experiences into applicable and measurable tools, in a way that serves coaches, players, and technical and administrative staff, and enhances the efficiency of training programs and the quality of performance.

For her part, Engineer Maryam Mustafa, Head of the Innovation and Quality Control Committee at the Fujairah Martial Arts Club, confirmed the continuation of supporting the “Innovation Lab” and expanding the scope of its work to be a platform for developing quality initiatives, enhancing knowledge partnerships, and sustaining innovation in a competitive sports environment that contributes to raising performance indicators and achieving societal impact.

It is noteworthy that Innovation Month in the UAE begins on the first of next February and witnesses the implementation of various innovation initiatives.
