I am confident that I will be called up to the national team if Cosmin follows me

Al Orouba Club player, Mohammed Ibrahim Al Hammadi, caught the attention in the First Division Football League, after presenting remarkable technical levels during the first round matches, which led him to be among the elite of the best players in the competition, after 13 rounds, especially since he is at the top of the national scorers with seven goals, and occupies third place in the competition’s top scorers’ standings, with five goals in five consecutive matches.
Al Hammadi (27 years old) previously represented Al Dhafra, Hatta and Dibba clubs in previous seasons in the professional league, and he is proud of being one of the players of the Al Dhafra team in the final match of the President’s Cup against Shabab Al Ahly in the 2018-2019 season, describing this as one of the most prominent achievements in his football career.
Al-Hammadi told “Emirates Today”: “I was close to joining the ranks of the national team in past seasons, before I suffered a severe injury to the cruciate ligament. It took a long time for treatment and recovery, and my current goal is to work hard and work in a special way to join (Al-Abyad),” noting that “there is a prevailing view among the technical staff of the team and the national team committee not to include players from the first division, even if they are distinguished, which may deprive him of this opportunity.”
He added: “I hope that the Football Association and the Romanian national team coach, Ellario Cosmin, will watch some important matches in the first division, as I feel very confident that I will be called up, even if it is within the large gathering of players,” stressing that “this step will be a great support for both citizen and resident players.” He said: “I believe that it is not the fault of a hardworking player if he does not play in the professional league and loses the opportunity to represent the national team,” hoping to address this matter, especially in light of the presence of distinguished players in this league.
He added: “I played for Al Dhafra, Hatta, Dibba, Al Dhaid and Al Orouba teams, whether in the professional league or the first division, and I am very proud of all these experiences, but my greatest pride was when I played with Al Dhaid, as I had just returned from injury, and I enjoyed the patronage of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Dhaid Club, Salem Bin Howeiden.”
He pointed out that he learned a lot from Serbian coach Vuk Razovic when he was coach of Al Dhafra, as well as from coach Dr. Abdullah Misfer, coach Muhammad Obaid Al Khadim, coach Suleiman Haji Al Balushi, and Unai Kontz, expressing his happiness at his success in scoring goals with all the clubs he represented.
He explained that he plays as an outright striker, and in a style close to the style of Shabab Al-Ahly player Sultan Adel, which made him good at seizing goals from half-chances, indicating that he has the conviction that a confident striker is capable of scoring even with a lack of opportunities, a concept that has helped him a lot in his football career.
