Death takes away Fathi Kamil, the former Kuwaiti national team star

Former Kuwaiti national team star Fathi Kamil died at the age of 71 after a struggle with illness, as he suffered during recent years from unstable health, according to Kuwaiti media.
The deceased is considered one of the most prominent former Kuwaiti players, and was famous for his dribbles and goals, which he used to add his own touches.
The Brown Knight, as he was called by football-loving fans, always toured Kuwaiti stadiums with his Al-Tadamon team and the Kuwaiti national team. He was one of the stars of the seventies and eighties and the golden era of Kuwaiti football.
Kamil achieved many distinguished records, including top scorer in the Emir Cup 1973/1974 with 7 goals, top scorer in the 1976 Asian Cup with 3 goals, and he was also one of the players of our national team that won the 1980 Asian Cup, and he participated in the 1982 World Cup.
