“Deadly Scissors” gives Al Ain an exciting victory in “Gulf Champions”

Striker Jonas Nafo led the Al Ain team to a valuable and exciting victory, after scoring a wonderful goal in a “cinematic” scissor-kick fashion in the 90+1 minute, giving Al-Zaeem a fatal victory over its host, Sitra of Bahrain, 1-0, in the meeting that brought together the two teams yesterday evening at Khalifa Sports City Stadium, within the fifth round of the group stage of the Gulf Champions League Football Championship.

Nafo appeared at the decisive moment when he prepared the ball for himself inside the penalty area, and launched an amazing scissor shot that landed in the net, amidst the astonishment of the Sitra players and overwhelming joy among the Al Ain ranks, to decide the match in the fatal time with three valuable points.

With this victory, Al Ain raised its score to 9 points in second place, behind Iraqi leader Zakho, while Sitra’s score froze at two points in last place.
