The Indian national team is the champion of the “Fazza International” athletics team for people of determination

The Indian national team won the title of the 17th edition of the Fazza International Athletics Championship for People of Determination “Grand Prix – Dubai 2026”, whose competitions concluded yesterday at the Dubai Club for People of Determination track, with the participation of 500 male and female athletes representing 56 countries.

The Indian team topped the overall standings with 43 medals, divided into 16 gold, 13 silver and 14 bronze, while the Colombian team came in second place with 20 medals (11 gold, 5 silver and 4 bronze), and the Kenyan team came third with 20 medals as well, with 6 gold, 12 silver and 2 bronze.

The UAE national team finished its participation in fourth place after raising its tally to 27 medals, with 6 gold, 9 silver and 12 bronze, adding 3 new bronze medals on the closing day via Ali Al Muhairi in the pole competition (F32), Ensaf Al Nuaimi in the shot put (F34), and Khadija Al Suwaidi in the shot put (F37).
