The “Dubai Tennis” draw for men in the Majlis Hall today

At one o’clock in the afternoon today, the Majlis Hall in the Dubai Duty Free Stadium in the Garhoud area in Dubai will host the press conference for the draw ceremony for the Dubai Duty Free Men’s Tennis Championship, with a total prize pool of $3.33 million, held in its 34th edition during the period from February 23 to 28, and classified within the 500 point category.

A number of world-ranked players are participating in the tournament, led by Canadian Auger Aliassime, ranked seventh in the world, who returns to Dubai after recording one of the strongest seasons of his career last year, during which he won three titles on the ATP Tour, in Adelaide, Montpellier and Basel. He also reached the semi-finals of the US Open, in addition to reaching the final of the Dubai Championship last year, which strengthens his hopes of winning the 2026 edition title.

Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas, ranked 33rd in the world, also returns to Dubai in his quest to defend his title in last year’s edition, after he gave a strong performance against Aliassime in the final match, which Tsitsipas decided in two sets without a response (6-3, 6-3).

The participation of the “Dubai Tennis” champions for the years 2022 and 2023, the Russians Andrey Rublev and Daniil Medvedev, ranked 11th and 14th in the world, is also highlighted, as Rublev returns after a distinguished season on the Association of Tennis Professionals tour, while Medvedev is considered one of the strongest competitors on the hard courts, as his professional career includes winning the US Open title in 2021.

The 34th edition carries legitimate ambitions for Kazakh Alexander Bublik, ranked 10th in the world, to embrace his first historical title in Dubai, after a first attempt in the 2024 edition during which he reached the final, before losing to Frenchman Hugo Hombre in two sets without a response (6-4 and 6-3).

. The total prize money for the men’s tournament, held in its 34th edition from February 23 to 28, is $3.33 million.
