Al Ain hosts an exceptional conclusion to the MENA Golf Tour season

The UAE will host the final tournament of the 2025-2026 season of the MENA Golf Tour, during the period from March 30 to April 1 at the Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting and Golf Club, where players will compete over three rounds to win a financial prize of $100,000 US dollars and the title of season champion.

The MENA Tour is a pioneering Emirati initiative, and the only one in the region that is accredited and awards points for the official international golf classification. Its current season has witnessed remarkable success, with tournaments being held in Portugal and Egypt, and will continue its competitions in Morocco, Jordan, and Qatar before the most prominent players arrive in Al Ain to compete in the grand final.

Al Ain Club has a distinguished sporting record, as its stadium hosted the Abu Dhabi Challenge Championship within the Hotel Planner Tour for two years in a row, which established its position as one of the most prominent tournament stadiums in the region.

The design of the course is characterized by the presence of bodies of water in most of the holes, and the extension of the horse racing track along a number of lanes, which requires high precision in performance, while the tenth hole, which is 678 yards long, is one of the most prominent challenges for the players.

The club also includes sports facilities with Olympic and international standards in equestrian, shooting, rugby and cricket.

Mohammed Rashid Al Nasiri, General Manager of the Club, stressed that hosting an event recognized by the International Golf Federation represents a new point of pride, and contributes to supporting the process of developing professional golf in the country and the region, and providing a platform for emerging talents.

For his part, the English player Garrick Porteous, who lives in Dubai and won the Abu Dhabi Challenge Championship on the same stadium in 2024, expressed his pride in returning to Al Ain, pointing out the difficulty of the track, especially in the second half and with the influence of the wind, and stressing the excellent organizational and technical condition of the stadium.

Attention in the tournament is turning to Ahmed Sukayk, the professional Emirati golfer, who has extensive experience on the course after his previous participation in it, and he enters the competitions carrying Emirati golf ambitions at the end of the season.

Skaik stressed that returning to Al Ain as a professional player and representing the country on its home soil at the end of the season represents a special milestone in his career, praising the role that the Mina Tour provided in supporting the players’ development and giving them a clear path towards professionalism.

The Al Ain Championship concludes a season in which the MENA Tour toured Europe and the Middle East, offering financial prizes amounting to $100,000 for each tournament, in addition to official international classification points, while the title of season champion remains pending until the final blow on UAE soil.
