ABU DHABI, 1st March / WAM / The Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Team of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi held an emergency visual coordination meeting headed by His Excellency Major General Ahmed Saif bin Zaytoun Al Muhairi, Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police, head of the team, in light of the current regional developments.
During the meeting, the team reviewed a comprehensive analysis of the current scene and its expected scenarios, while assessing the level of readiness in vital sectors and the efficiency of response plans and business continuity approved by the concerned authorities.
It was also ensured that monitoring and follow-up mechanisms were activated around the clock and that operational coordination between strategic partners was strengthened to ensure rapid information exchange and accurate decision-making in accordance with international best practices.
The meeting confirmed that the emirate’s emergency management system operates according to a proactive framework based on multi-source risk analysis, with periodic updating of operational plans and their alignment with developments to ensure the continuity of basic services without interruption, especially in the energy, health, transportation, food security, and communications sectors.
The team also reassured the readiness of the command and control centers and the efficiency of the early warning systems and logistical support, in addition to reviewing the business continuity plans of government agencies and ensuring their integration within a unified system that enhances the emirate’s flexibility and ability to deal with various scenarios.
The team stressed the importance of responsible institutional and media communication and providing accurate information in a timely manner, which enhances community confidence and limits the circulation of rumours, stressing that the competent authorities are continuously monitoring developments and taking the necessary measures based on accurate professional assessments.
