90 players participate in the “Laser Run” modern pentathlon tournament

The UAE Modern Pentathlon Federation organized the Federation Championship for “Laser Run” (running and shooting with a laser pistol) at the Al Bataeh Sports Club Stadium in the Emirate of Sharjah, with wide participation that included the Maliha, Al Bataeh and Kalba clubs, in addition to the Federation’s players from the Gifted Center at Al Warqa School in Dubai, among 90 male and female players from various age groups, starting from under 9 years old to the Masters category over 40 years old.
Dr. Hoda Al Matroushi, President of the Emirates Modern Pentathlon Federation, confirmed that “Al Bataeh Club’s hosting of the Laser Run Championship represents an important step in supporting the spread of the game at the club level, praising the distinguished organization and fruitful cooperation that contributed to producing the event in a way that reflects the development of modern pentathlon in the country. She added that the wide participation from various age levels reflects the growing interest in the game, and the clubs’ keenness to provide a competitive environment that contributes to refining the skills of male and female players.”
Al Matrooshi praised the interaction of the Kalba and Mleiha clubs, stressing that this positive presence enhances opportunities for interaction and gaining experience, and raises the general technical level, noting that the federation will continue to organize more tournaments during the coming period to discover talents and consolidate the position of “Laser Run” within the agenda of sports activities in the country.
For his part, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Bataeh Club, Muhammad Abdullah Al Ketbi, expressed his club’s pride in hosting such events that support modern and community sports, stressing that the tournament formed an important platform for discovering talent and motivating participants to develop their abilities, in addition to enhancing the spirit of positive competition among players.
