“Identity and Nationality” completes procedures for 30,913 passengers at the country’s airports

The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security announced that it was able, in cooperation with the competent authorities in the country, to complete travel procedures by issuing visas and clearing travel transactions for about 30,913 passengers at the country’s airports, namely, Zayed International Airport, Dubai Airports, Sharjah Airport, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah International, and to provide all the necessary facilities and services to them, as it was done in cooperation with the relevant authorities in the country and provided food until the completion of travel procedures, in addition to providing transportation. Accommodation for everyone.
The Authority issued entry visas to 15,327 passengers, including those at the aforementioned airports, allowing them to reside in the country until the end of the current crisis and providing them with a decent life so that they can leave the country safely. It stressed the readiness of its work teams and systems to deal with crises and emergency situations in light of the current developments that led to the temporary suspension of flights as a precautionary measure, within an integrated national system that works in direct coordination with the relevant authorities in the country to ensure the security and safety of society and the continuation of services. The Authority announced that it will provide all services to travelers arriving or departing from the UAE, or transiting to other countries, and passengers stranded at the country’s airports (transiting or departing) during the exceptional circumstances that the region is going through, based on the country’s cultural and humanitarian values.
The Authority stressed that all operational plans and risk management procedures have been activated in accordance with the highest approved standards, and that coordination continues with strategic partners and competent authorities to ensure the sustainability of work at the ports once air traffic is fully resumed.
The Authority indicated that it has activated the business continuity plan during emergencies and crises from the beginning, issuing entry visas to qualified travelers, facilitating the entry of citizens and residents, and providing accommodation and food for travelers in coordination with the competent authorities and airport operators.
The Authority called on travelers and the public to obtain information from official sources and follow developments through the official channels of the competent authorities, stressing that the United Arab Emirates possesses an advanced infrastructure and a security and operational system capable of dealing efficiently and flexibly with various developments.
