المملكة: Under the patronage of the Minister of Environment, the Annual Innovation Forum 2026 was launched on Thursday
Sponsor Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Engineer Abdul Rahman Al-Fadhli, next Thursday at the Ministry’s headquarters in Riyadh, the launch of the Annual Innovation Forum 2026, to shed light on the localization of modern technologies and achieving sustainability and Food and water security.
Revealed Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture The forum will witness broad participation from actors and companies active in the system, to showcase the latest technical innovations that serve the environmental and agricultural sectors in the Kingdom.
Technical Solutions
The Ministry explained that the event aims to enhance and develop local content, and raise the contribution of environmental sectors to the gross domestic product by adopting advanced and sustainable technical solutions.
The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture stressed that the forum represents a vital platform for launching qualitative initiatives in the areas of research. and innovation, to support efforts to localize technology and achieve ambitious national goals.
Dialogue sessions
The Ministry pointed out that the timetable will include the signing of agreements and memorandums of understanding between the Ministry and participating entities, in addition to organizing dialogue sessions and workshops in which a group of experts participate.
It indicated that this step comes as an extension of previous initiatives, most notably the “Technology Adoption Roadmap” and the Saudi Alliance for Agricultural and Food Technologies, which the Ministry recently launched to enhance The system.
National platform
The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture touched on the role of the National Platform for Prospecting Research and Innovation “Nebras”, the Intellectual Property Program, and the Experimental Regulatory Environment Program in building and developing an integrated innovative system.
The Ministry stressed that adopting technical innovations is an essential pillar in confronting environmental challenges and ensuring the sustainability of natural resources in line with the Kingdom’s directions towards global leadership in this sector.
