Ajman wants to finish the season “fifth”

The Ajman team enters its expected confrontation against Al-Bataeh, with full ranks, in the match scheduled to be held next Tuesday in the 19th round of the professional league, with a strong morale boost for the technical staff before one of the most important stations of the season, according to the technical and administrative staff of “Orange”.

Ajman’s list, which occupies seventh place with 23 points, was devoid of any absences, whether due to suspension or injury, so the technical staff put all its cards on the table before the confrontation, which carries great competitive dimensions in the race for advanced positions.

Ajman team manager, Mohammed Hussein, stressed that “the Al-Bataeh match represents a turning point in Ajman’s journey, especially since (the Orange) are now seriously looking at ending the season in fifth place, in light of the intense conflict with several clubs, most notably Al-Jazira and Al-Nasr, for this position.”

Muhammad Hussein told Emirates Al-Youm: “We realize that the rest of the season cannot afford to waste points, as every match has become a final. We have only seven rounds to go, and any stumble could cost us a lot in the race for advanced positions, so our focus is entirely on facing Al-Bataeh, as it is the first step in the decisive stage.”

He added: “The victory will give us a strong boost on the technical and moral levels, and will raise the ambitions of the players and the technical staff, especially in light of the closeness in points with the direct competitors for fifth place.”

Ajman had lost to Al Wahda in the last round by two unanswered goals, halting a series of three consecutive victories achieved in rounds 15, 16 and 17, and contributing to a clear jump for the team in the standings.

The Ajman team manager continued: “This loss may have come at an appropriate time to rearrange the cards, but it will not be the end, but rather an opportunity to correct some mistakes. The team has performed well in the past weeks and achieved important victories that have strengthened the players’ self-confidence, and we are currently working to quickly restore balance and return to the winning path.”

He continued: “The players showed a positive reaction in training, and there is a clear determination to make up for the points lost in the last round. The atmosphere within the team is ideal, and the team spirit is strong.”

He explained: “We respect Al-Bataeh, and we know that he will fight until the last minute, as his position in the table makes him desperate for points. This increases the difficulty of the match, but at the same time it gives us greater incentive to present a strong match that befits our ambitions.”

The confrontation with Al-Bataeh carries with it a moral advantage for Ajman, as the team did not suffer any loss against Al-Raqi in seven previous matches in the professional league, where it achieved four victories, the last of which was in the first round, when it won with a goal without a return, while it was tied on three previous occasions.
