Trump fires Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem

US President Donald Trump announced on Thursday the dismissal of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, one of the architects of the policy of deporting irregular immigrants.

Trump said in a post on his social platform, “Truth Social,” that the minister, whom he assigned to the mission of “special envoy” to Latin America, will be succeeded on March 31 by Republican Senator from Oklahoma, Markwayne Mullen.
