المملكة: Civil Defense: 7 guidelines that protect you from danger when an emergency alarm is sounded
The General Directorate called Civil Defense to adhere to the preventive guidelines in the event of receiving warning messages from The National Early Warning Platform in emergency situations, stressing the importance of following official instructions to ensure safety.
She explained that when the warning message arrives, one should remain calm and follow the directions issued by the competent authorities, and immediately go to the nearest safe place inside buildings, such as an interior room away from windows, and stay there until the danger passes.

She also stressed the necessity of not leaving the house or building during the situation. Emergency situations, and stay away from open places, glass, balconies, and roofs, and if you are outside buildings, you must take shelter inside the nearest building or behind a solid curtain.
She pointed out the importance of avoiding gatherings and photography, and staying away from dangerous sites, in addition to stopping on the side of the road away from bridges and tall buildings when receiving a warning while driving a vehicle.
The Civil Defense stressed the necessity of communicating with the competent authorities when noticing any danger, by calling the emergency number (911). In the regions of Makkah Al-Mukarramah, Medina, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, or the number (998) in the rest of the Kingdom’s regions.
He called on everyone to follow the instructions issued through the official channels of the concerned authorities to ensure public safety.
