Setting the dates for the round of 16 in the AFC Champions League for the elite in Jeddah

The Asian Football Confederation announced a new update regarding the system for holding the playoffs in club tournaments, after the previous postponement of matches in early March.
The Federation confirmed on its official website that all matches of the final rounds of the Western Region in the AFC Champions League for the elite season 2025-2026 will be held in a group system, so that the matches are played in one round instead of home and away.
According to the decision, the Round of 16 matches will be held on April 13 and 14 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, at the stadiums of King Abdullah Sports City and Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Sports City, before the start of the final rounds of the tournament.
Jeddah is also scheduled to host the final rounds during the period from April 16 to 25, in an anticipated edition that is expected to witness strong competition between the most prominent clubs in the Asian continent.
In the Round of 16 competitions, Shabab Al-Ahly will meet with Iranian Traktor, while Al-Wahda will face its Saudi counterpart, Al-Ittihad.
