المملكة: The water sector exceeds the local content target, recording 66.10% by the end of 2025


Declared Saudi Water Authorityreported The water sector in the Kingdom had a rate of 66.10% in local content by the end of the fiscal year 2025 AD, exceeding the target set for the year of 66%.

The authority explained that this performance comes as a result of the expansion of reliance on national capabilities across various value chains in the water sector, in addition to the growing participation of local suppliers and contractors in sector projects, which contributes to raising operating efficiency and enhancing the reliability and stability of supplies.

It indicated that the sector recorded a growth of 4.39% compared to the baseline for the year 2023 AD, with a compound annual growth rate of 2.17%, which reflects continued progress in Localization of industries related to the water sector, and improving the efficiency of supply chains.

Saudi Vision 2030

The authority stressed that its role is based on developing regulatory frameworks and creating an enabling environment for the growth of local content, in addition to monitoring compliance and measuring performance according to clear indicators and standards that ensure the sustainability of results.

It also indicated that this progress enhances the sector’s readiness, raises the level of reliance on national capabilities, and increases the reliability of supply chains, in a way that supports The sustainability of the sector and contributes to achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
