Al Wasl defeats Dibba “the last”… and advances to fourth place in the UAE League

Al-Wasl regained fourth place in the professional football league standings, following its victory over its guest, Dibba, 4-2, in the match that brought together the two teams this evening at Zabeel Stadium in the twenty-third round of the tournament, in the presence of about a thousand spectators.
“The Emperor” raised its score to 39 points, ahead of Al Wahda in direct confrontations, which fell to fifth place, while Dibba’s score froze at 17 points in last place, making its position more complicated in the struggle for survival.
Al Wasl opened the scoring in the 19th minute through Fabio Lima, before Dibba quickly equalized in the 25th minute through Derisa Coulibaly.
The hosts regained the lead in the 39th minute through Miguel Borja, then strengthened their advantage with the third goal in the 43rd minute through Brian Palacios, ending the first half with the “Emperor” leading 3-1.
Fabio Lima returned in the second half and scored his second and fourth personal goal for his team in the 53rd minute, before the visitors reduced the gap in the 76th minute through Simon Cabral, ending the confrontation with a deserved 4-2 victory for Al Wasl.
