Liverpool coach raises ambiguity about the severity of Mohamed Salah’s injury

Liverpool coach Arne Slot raised the mystery about the injury of Mohamed Salah, the team’s star, during the match against Crystal Palace, today, Saturday, in the English Premier League.

Slott said via the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC): “What happened to Salah is part of our story this season, a new win, and a new injury, but it is too early to determine the severity of the injury, but we all know Salah and that his departure from the field only happens for a difficult reason.”

The Dutch coach added, “Salah’s exit from the field is an indication of something, and we will wait to find out the seriousness of the injury.”

Salah left the field after 59 minutes due to an injury to his left posterior muscle, and Dutchman Jeremy Frimpong took his place while Liverpool advanced by two clean goals.

The British news agency (PA Media) reported that the chances of Salah appearing again in a Liverpool shirt this season remain in great doubt, with only four matches remaining, the last of which is hosting Brentford in the final round, where Salah and Andy Robertson are scheduled to bid farewell to the team.

“We don’t know, that’s the best thing to say, because if I said there was a possibility of Salah playing again, it would make headlines, so we don’t know anything, all we know is that the season will end in four weeks,” Slott said.

He continued, “There are not many matches left, so we have to wait to determine the diagnosis of his injury, and whether he can play again.”

He continued, “What I know is that Salah has taken good care of his physical fitness over the past years, which means that he may need less time to recover from his injury, and we hope that he will be ready to participate.”
