Al-Qahtani stated that the astronomical time cycle of the Hijri calendar will return the Hajj seasons again to the summer season about 25 years from now.

In the context of proactive preparations, the Center announced its intention to hold an expanded workshop under the title “Climatic Impact” on Wednesday, May 6, 2026.

The official spokesman indicated that the workshop will witness broad participation from relevant authorities, with the aim of reviewing the accurate climate record of the Holy Sites.

He added that the meeting will work on analyzing the weather patterns associated with the Hajj seasons, in an effort to enhance maximum operational readiness and raise levels of joint coordination.

He pointed out that the expected outputs will contribute directly to Supporting crowd management plans and professional dealing with all expected climatic variables.

Al-Qahtani concluded his statement by emphasizing that these efforts will be harnessed to ensure the safety of the pilgrims, and to enable them to perform their rituals easily and conveniently in a safe and prepared environment.
