The athletics team raises its tally to 4 medals in the Arab Championship in Tunisia

Our national athletics team raised its tally to 4 medals in the second day’s competitions of the 21st Arab Championship for Men and Women Under 20, currently being held in Tunisia until April 30.

Arwa Ali won silver in the 100-meter hurdles, with a time of 12 seconds, 45 hundredths of a second behind first place, while her colleague Sarah Fahd won bronze in the 100-meter hurdles. Sprinter Alia Al-Muhairi also succeeded in achieving fourth place in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, with a new record for the state, 12.28.60 minutes.

It is noteworthy that our national team opened its participation in the championship yesterday by winning a gold and a bronze in the 100-meter race, in addition to achieving a new record for the state in the youth category that has not been broken for 21 years.
