المملكة: With an area of ​​26 thousand square metres… developing the Dahiya and Mirqab walking track in Jubail


The Jubail Governorate Municipality has completed the development work of the King Fahd Suburb Walking Track and the Mirqab Track, to provide Modern, integrated spaces that support healthy lifestyles and enhance the quality of life and urban landscape for residents and visitors.

The two projects included the implementation of sports tracks with a total length of 3,900 metres, extending over a wide area estimated at approximately 26,400 square metres.

The aim of these Open spaces aim to create a safe and attractive environment for practicing sports and recreational activities, which reflects positively on public health and community well-being.

Supporting infrastructure and improving the visual landscape

The official spokesman for the Eastern Province Municipality, Director General of the General Administration of Information, Faisal Al-Zahrani, confirmed that these projects represent a qualitative addition to the urban infrastructure in the governorate.

Al-Zahrani pointed out that the design of the tracks was implemented according to modern engineering standards, which included the budget. The precision between the aesthetic and functional aspects of serving visitors.

The comprehensive development work included planting 350 trees and 536 shrubs, and distributing 78 chairs and 46 waste containers, to enhance environmental sustainability.

The official spokesman explained that 205 decorative lighting poles were installed. To improve the visual scene, in addition to implementing three artistic models in the King Fahd suburb.

The municipality enhanced the visual identity of the two sites by installing 110 safety barriers, creating a huge 15-meter canopy, and providing indicative information boards at the Mirqab track.

Entertainment and sports

Within the framework of entertainment and sports, areas for games and fitness equipment were allocated, which included 12 games in the suburb over an area of 1,500 meters. square.

Five modern fitness equipment were also provided at the Al-Mirqab walking track, with the establishment of an integrated play area 15 meters long to suit different age groups.

Al-Zahrani concluded by stressing that these development efforts are consistent with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to create urban environments that support a healthy lifestyle and meet the aspirations of generations.
