On Monday, Santos announced the opening of an investigation following the altercation between the 34-year-old star and the son of Robinho, the former Real Madrid and Manchester City striker.

“If you want an apology in front of the press, here it is,” Neymar told reporters after Santos’ 1-1 draw with Recoleta in Paraguay. I had already apologized to him and his family. “You have crossed the limits.”

According to the Brazilian press, the altercation occurred because the best scorer in the history of the Brazilian national team did not like being dodged by his 18-year-old young colleague during a training session on Sunday.

Robinho Jr. confirmed on Tuesday after the match that Neymar slapped him, but stressed that the incident had been resolved and “everything had been resolved.”

He added, “It is a situation that bothered me because Neymar has been my role model since childhood… I spoke with my parents and I accept his apology.”

During the match, Neymar scored Santos’ goal and embraced Robinho Junior while celebrating.

The former French and Spanish Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona player told reporters: “He is a boy I love very much, and I have a special affection for him.” “This happens in football, you quarrel with your friend, with your brother.”
