Dibba’s victory over Al-Bataeh is an important step away from the downward spiral

Dibba player Abdullah Al-Dhanhani confirmed that his team’s victory over Al-Bataeh (2-1) in the 24th round of the professional league represents an important step towards achieving the goal of survival for the next season, noting that the team played a great match, in terms of commitment and tactical discipline, despite the difficulty of the confrontation and the psychological pressure that accompanied it.

Dibba now has 20 points in 12th place, ahead of Al Dhafra and Al Bataeh, each of which has 19 points. To ensure its official survival, Dibba needs to achieve a victory over Ajman in the next match, with Al Dhafra and Al Bataeh teams faltering, and if the three teams win, the decision will be postponed to the final round. Defender Abdullah Al-Dhanhani told Emirates Al-Youm: “The great role played by the support of the Chairman of the Club’s Board of Directors, Ahmed Saeed Al-Dhanhani, cannot be overlooked, as he is keen to be present on a daily basis with the team, which had a clear impact in raising morale and motivating the players, and contributed to achieving a positive shift within the team, in addition to the special relationship that the team coach brings together with all the players, which was clearly reflected in the performance on the field.”

He continued: “We were aware of the importance of the match, and we entered the match with high concentration, and we succeeded in implementing the instructions of the technical staff, especially with regard to defensive organization and exploiting opportunities.”

He added: “We expected a difficult match, because Al-Bataeh is a strong team and a direct competitor for survival, and indeed we were subjected to great offensive pressure, but we dealt with it in a team spirit, and there was clear cooperation between all the players, and we were able to reduce the danger of many of the attempts.” He explained: “We maintained our lead in the result thanks to the importance of the match for us, in addition to the guidance of the technical staff and the experience of the team members, and everyone was distinguished, and the defense line and goalkeeper Mohamed Salem played a major role in maintaining the result.”

He continued: “We prepared ourselves mentally well, because such matches are decided by details, and although there were some difficult periods, we were able to maintain our balance until the end.”

He continued: “We feel very happy after this victory, raising our score to 20 points, and this result gives us a strong morale boost before the remaining two rounds against Ajman and Al Ain.”

He pointed out that the dressing room atmosphere was special, saying: “There was great joy among the players, but the coach stressed the importance of continuing the work and not being complacent in the next stage.”

He concluded: “The fans of Dibba deserve this joy, and we will prepare strongly for the next two matches, and our goal is clear, which is to ensure survival, especially since we have a distinguished group of players capable of achieving the achievement of survival.”
