Dubai honors 40 members of… "Ambassador Program"

Dubai, 11 May / WAM / The Department of Economy and Tourism in Dubai honored 40 members of the “Ambassador Programme”, in recognition of their distinguished contributions in attracting the most prominent international and regional conferences and meetings to Dubai, in addition to supporting and developing locally established business events, thus enhancing the emirate’s position as a leading global center for business events, innovation and knowledge exchange.

This came during a ceremony for the program organized by the Department’s Dubai Business Events, at The Lanna Dubai Hotel, in the presence of a group of senior partners, sector specialists and program ambassadors, to celebrate their efforts in supporting Dubai’s diverse and knowledge-based economy, in line with the objectives of the D33 Dubai Economic Agenda.

The event highlighted the growing role of the “Ambassador” program in attracting high-level international conferences and meetings to Dubai, in addition to its contribution to developing business events launched from the emirate, thus strengthening the meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions sector system in the city.

During the ceremony, the ambassadors were honored in four main categories that included local, regional and international events, in addition to the category of the Dubai Center for Economic and Professional Bodies, reflecting the diversity of experiences and sectors represented in the program, including health care, technology, business, engineering and the government sector.

Ahmed Al Khaja, Executive Director of the Dubai Festivals and Retail Corporation, said that the “Ambassador” program continues to consolidate its position as one of the main drivers of the business events system in Dubai, by attracting and developing quality events that support the exchange of knowledge and promote sustainable economic growth.

Since its launch in 2010, the program has included more than 350 members, while the Dubai Business Events Office has succeeded during the year 2025 in winning 504 bids to host events held until 2029, an increase of 15 percent compared to 2024, with expectations of attracting more than 272 thousand participants, at a time when Dubai hosted 481 business events during the past year.
