المملكة: With early field campaigns, Al-Kharmah is preparing its slaughterhouses to receive the 1447 Hajj season


The regulatory authorities raised The level of operational readiness of its slaughterhouses in preparation for Hajj season 1447 AH, through extensive field tours to verify the implementation of all approved health and environmental requirements.

The director of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture in Al-Khurma Governorate, Engineer Abdullah Al-Subaie, accompanied by the control and compliance team, on the field on the progress of work within the slaughterhouses and centers affiliated with the governorate.

Readiness of veterinary personnel

The inspection tours included following up on cleaning and sterilization work, and assessing the readiness of veterinary and technical personnel, in addition to examining the safety of slaughtering and refrigeration equipment and ensuring the availability of occupational safety and health requirements.

Al-Subaie stressed the importance of intensifying oversight tours and raising the operational efficiency of the facilities, stressing the need for slaughterhouse operators to adhere to the regulations governing slaughter work and safe disposal mechanisms for waste.

The director of the office called for enhancing community awareness of the importance of slaughter within approved regular slaughterhouses, as an essential step to preserve the environment, protect public health, and ensure food safety.

These proactive steps fall within the efforts of the Ministry of Environment and Water branch. And agriculture in the Makkah Al-Mukarramah region, aiming to enhance environmental control and raise the quality of services provided to the guests of God during the season.
