In specialty… Sharjah closes the season with a hat-trick against Khor Fakkan

Sharjah continued to impose its dominance in its confrontations against Khor Fakkan in the “Smiling Emirate Derby” in the Professional Football League, after renewing its superiority by winning 3-1, in the match that brought together the two teams this evening in the twenty-sixth and final round, at Sharjah Stadium, amid a crowd of no more than a thousand spectators.

“The King” confirmed its continued commitment to Khor Fakkan at its home stadium, after achieving its seventh successive victory against them in the league, continuing the series of superiority that had previously witnessed its victory in the past six matches with a total score of 19-4 before today’s confrontation.

Sharjah entered the match in a clear offensive manner, and opened the scoring through Brazilian Luan Pereira in the 16th minute, before Igor Cornado increased the lead with a second goal from a penalty kick in stoppage time of the first half (45 + 5).

With the start of the second half, Khor Fakkan returned the match to a competitive atmosphere after Kikoy Campos reduced the difference in the 47th minute, but Sharjah ended all attempts at a comeback with a third goal, signed by substitute Harib Abdullah, in the second minute of stoppage time.

With this victory, Sharjah raised its score to 29 points, temporarily advancing to eighth place, while Khor Fakkan’s score froze at 27 points, falling to ninth place.
