Al-Barkawi’s goal keeps Al-Dhafra in the “Professionals”

Al Dhafra maintained its seat in the Professional Football League, after achieving a valuable victory over its guest, Al Wahda, with an unanswered goal, in the match that brought them together, on Saturday, in the final round of the competition.

Al Dhafra owes its most important victory this season to its Moroccan striker Karim Al-Barkawi, who scored the only goal of the match eight minutes before the end, giving his team three valuable points that ensured its survival among the professional league clubs.

Al Dhafra raised its score to 22 points in twelfth place, while Al Wahda’s score froze at 40 points in fifth place, ensuring in turn participation in the AFC Champions League 2 in its next edition.
The first half witnessed exciting events, after Al-Wahda player Favor Ogbo was sent off after receiving two yellow cards due to his objection to the decisions of the match referee, Omar Al Ali, before the events escalated when he attacked Al-Dhafra player Abdullah Al-Karbi, refusing to leave the field, before his teammates intervened to persuade him to leave, so Al-Annabi completed the match with ten players from the 34th minute.
In the second half, Al Dhafra imposed its offensive advantage, taking advantage of Al Wahda’s numerical deficiency, and intensified its attempts against the visitors’ goal, at a time when Al Wahda retreated in defense, before Karim Al Barkawi succeeded in snatching the winning goal that ensured his team’s survival in the professional league.
