المملكة: Urgent: Red Crescent to “Al-Youm”: 71 starting points and 200 modern vehicles to support pilgrims’ ambulances

During its tour of the forum, which was held at the Ministry of Interior Club in Jeddah, “Al-Youm” monitored the Authority’s review of a package of operational solutions and modern technologies used in the field during the Hajj season, in addition to introducing specialized ambulance services and mechanisms for dealing with emergency cases in dense locations.

Saudi Red Crescent Authority specialist Abdul Rahman Al Thabet explained to Al-Youm that this year the Authority provided 71 emergency starting points distributed in the Holy Sites, in addition to supporting the field fleet with more than 200 modern vehicles, as part of a plan aimed at enhancing readiness and speed of access to emergency cases.

And he stated "Al Thabet" The authority supported the ambulance teams with high-quality equipment and advanced technologies, in addition to providing mobile ambulance bags and dedicated means of transportation that serve the foot, mobile, and motorcycle teams, which contributes to facilitating movement and quick access within crowded areas.

He pointed out that among the most prominent modern technologies that have been provided are advanced devices that help the ambulance teams perform chest compressions during cardiopulmonary resuscitation operations, which was directly reflected in the quality and efficiency of field resuscitation operations.

He added. The Authority also provided the teams with smart devices to monitor vital signs and measure health indicators in an integrated manner, with the possibility of linking the data directly with medical guidance via the “electronic paramedic” system, which allows the transfer of medical readings in real time and obtaining immediate medical directions, which enhances the speed of decision-making and increases the efficiency of responding to critical cases.

The Authority’s pavilion at the forum witnessed a display of field equipment and operational techniques used during the Hajj season, in the context of highlighting the development of the Saudi ambulance system in crowd management. And sites with high human density, in line with the goals of raising the quality of services provided to the guests of God.

The forum also witnessed the participation of the Chairman of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority, Dr. Jalal Al-Owaisi, in the dialogue session entitled “Sustaining Excellence in Health and Security Services in Hajj,” which discussed enhancing integration between health and security agencies, and developing sustainable work systems to raise levels of readiness and operational efficiency during the Hajj season.
